Although the timeline for this website re-design was fast tracked, PFF had very specific goals for this project. The wealth of medical information included on the site for their constituents, needed to be organized and presented in an intuitive manner. In addition, their mission and branding needed to be highlighted and a message of hope and healing central to their web presence.
With a complete reorganization of the website’s information architecture, the wealth of the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation’s resources is now easily accessible to the end user. It requires only three clicks for site users to quickly search for available pulmonary fibrosis medical care and support in their area—a feat not possible with the Foundation’s previous website. The newly developed site also features a searchable event calendar which includes all support group meetings, fundraising events, and other pulmonary fibrosis focused activities nationwide.
KlearSky technology partner Sitefinity (http://www.sitefinity.com/) provided the content management tool used to build the site. Among its many features, www.pulmonaryfibrosis.org is fully responsive and automatically adjusts its interface ensure compatibility with the device and screen size on which the user is operating. Additionally, the site features a “disruptor alert” which allows the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation to easily highlight important announcements. Despite the complexity of this website development project, it was completed on-time and on-budget in just 14 weeks.
The Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to identifying effective PF treatments and assisting those living with the disease. The Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation is located near the Northwestern Medical Campus in downtown Chicago.
